The sooner now that I see the signals...I'll spread out my reaching out - dabbing here and there, weighing out if they were just busy or kept forgetting.

But once it's clear - I bow out. It's much easier now...but for the ones that appreciate it, the friendships that have spanned the test of time and distance make it all worthwhile.
