(in deep thought) 😌

Deb, it is I who thanks you -- I value your expertise and wisdom. It is an important reminder for those of us beginning on a writer's journey --what does "lie ahead."

I am married to a man who helped me grow thicker skin because as he loves to say, " I do not lie." ;-) (Mind you I've helped him realize, "dude -- the way, when and how you share the truth matters as well!" 🙂

Anyhow -- I've saved your comment to revisit when I do get the rejection and need to lick my wounds if/when I decide to try at some of the harder publications. I think the experience in the Suite is going to force me to learn faster than what I think I want to. ;-)

But please know -- I hear you -- I do value editors. I do value what they do and it is absolutely important that the privelege to even have someone give you feedback be appreciated.

I think what I wanted to share here was the outright criticism sometimes shared in Medium aimed at the whole feels a bit condescending; whereas when a writer does submit to a publication and is therefore requesting to be edited, then 100% -- it needs to be frank and understood that it is for the betterment for the writer and publication.

Quick question Deb -- when you say, "over-submitted"; does that mean the publication doesn't want to hear too often from some writers?

Thanks for the insight and feedback. 😚

Keep well!

Nat
