I'm such an extrovert...from the time I was in early high school, my closest friends were people I knew struggled to find an "in" and I was never a person who likes attention nor sought popularity; my nature is to fight for the underdog. So meeting those were always my favorite people...they are the always the hidden gems that no one notices and they are quiet and like to keep it that way. LOL
Like you!
And since I can talk to the wall LOL and I have zero notice if I'm alone or not, I've always searched for the ones who feel left out.
To be honest my husband early in my marriage life said, "nat - some people actually want to be left alone and like silence, don't invade!" (He has introverted tendancies...so I have since tried to always be careful)...
But wherever I go - even when people say, hey let's sit together -- I look to sit with who is alone. --for exactly what you shared.
I know I would feel alone - I wouldn't want others to.
You're doing wonderful May -- I know now why that meeting you had with all the Hmong ladies was so impactful and moving to you --- you were in your group! ;-) There's such power in feeling belonged right?
Okay-- let me let you rest! Have a great one!
