I'm not them LOL -- see, it was all awkward. I heard she was sick - so I wondered if the party was still going on. So I said hey let me ask what she would prefer I bring (Sweet or salty) and that way I can confirm it it's "still on?"

See if I invite 3 weeks in advance -- two days before or three -- I would be sending reminders or check-ins to see if people still coming?

But I never heard - so you know, I'm kinda not feeling it anyway - but okay I'm trying to be a good sport.

So when I say what can I bring she then says - oh we got it all, but we can split it up and you can "venmo" (it's another thing) - but same idea.

SOO by then - I've essentially said I'm coming and if I gave an excuse, in my eyes, it would have looked bad.

But the hubby stayed home - we both were pretty appalled and just turned off. I had to paint the smile on and go...cause you know, they taught me well. LOL --

Ugh - next time no! Next time I already have seen the signs - LONG time!!!
