I’m much too young of a writer to give you feedback on submitting to outside journals; but you made me reflect on why I hit submit here in Medium. And I’ll be perfectly transparent—I want to feel about it as you do about knitting. I enjoy it and I find so much joy when I journal and don’t care who reads it. But submitting it on Medium brings fear of judgement and it plants a need to seek approval.
I want to be in a healthy place where I enjoy writing and deliver value—and when I don’t, but it provides me personal growth to embrace it and let it be.
