I’m always “waiting” for you and Deb and a few others to share your writing advice, and so I especially loved this. I think this points to the “inexplicable” reason why some writing pieces are a hit and others aren’t. To your point, you just can’t manufacture. Sometimes I know I want to write about a topic and I just know the chances are slim I’ll hit my sweet magic spot…but the exercise of writing is so important for other reasons, and there there are times I’ll write a piece and what makes the reader “feel” it stuns me. I still feel time is important to a writer to have a better idea of what that “it” is for each. I have a feeling seasoned writers can read something they wrote and know it was a hit. Well…I wonder at times. ☺️😉loved this! Thank you for writing this Ellen!
