Poor Mike absolutely hated snakes! Imagine that, eh? Yet, there she was, snidely laughing at him for that, while, to me, of course, being a fellow snake-hater, my estimation of him rose by a good margin. My estimation of Patty Jo, coincidentally, dropped precipitously in that moment.
