I was wondering whether the solution is we all stop reading and read random articles each and every day—doesn’t that mean I’m interacting with someone new so they pay them bc I’m a “unusual” reader—and instead of rewarding those I love I’ll help random writers—
And what happens when I connect with them?
I shall be sure to move on??
Lest I also begin to contribute reads but not much of anything to help them…

So the question is:

They want random engagement with a piece and not a person

And I can’t do that—

But maybe that’s what medium wants—just read once in awhile and get off the platform let it be like a one or two a day and if the quality is there—it’ll be engaged with
