I think you have a powerful story...you very much understand how and why they went the route they did, and I applaud you and admire you for the mindset and heart that made you look at things with a "fresh" perspective and decide for yourself what is the right path.

At one point (a long time ago) I could have said both parties have their bad and good.

I'm unapologetically left. I do not feel that it's a situation of "both parties are equally bad" - one side is out to destroy freedoms and democracy. It's as clear as day.

Once we see the government standing on three (legislative, supreme court, and executive branches) strong democratic footholds, and we see two parties that are back to a dialogue of "policy" and not one side focusing on "fanatical rhetoric based on opinions and sometimes fantastical imaginations"...

Then perhaps I can say both sides have good and bad. I look forward to that day...the country and citizens will be better for it.
