I think this is the most difficult consequence of it all...the two individuals seem to go through agony and rough heartache. I think most of us ache for the children; I'll never forget meeting a gentleman years ago, he must have been in his 30s. He said his elderly parents were getting divorced. He hung his head and said, "you know, it doesn't matter how old you are -- divorce will tear you apart as a child always."

It absolutely stunned me -- as I wasn't expecting to see the vulnerability and pain he was sharing as he saw two elderly parents call it quits. Oh, this is sad...
