I think an unconditional lived love is so beautiful and amazing….only because the life changing conditions at the onset/foundation of relationship were clearly demarcated(lack of a better word) ….meaning huge/important issues like: trust/respect/listening and communication skills/do they want to have children/intimacy issues were thoroughly discussed and each continue to follow through on foundational agreed upon terms….

I think unconditional can be misunderstood and means: it doesn’t matter WHAT happens— I’ll love you.

Well—it’s easier to say…I’ll love you through good and bad circumstances—the hard part is:

How do each handle—when going through rough patches??—because many are lovable human beings but they are horrible decision makers and can continually erode relationship due to those choices. So then it looks like the partner isn’t loving them “unconditionally “?? But it isn’t this…

I feel it’s used as a brush to describe all relationships and yet hardly understood in the context of what long term marriages go through…
