I think the overhaul of the educational system that is so archaic and everyone has been talking about this for years is so overwhelming - it keeps getting kicked down the line...and yet we need to start somewhere. Some places have those technical schools that offer mechanical and electrical training, woodwork, beautician and other skills...but it needs to be a system-wide change and I think many are afraid of it. Your article is an excellent example - and it's so encouraging and refreshing!

Those of us who had to force-feed students in college who didn't want to be there, it wasn't in them - know loud and clear: it's not for everyone and there are SO many better paths for them...they are miserable, and makes teaching exasperatingly challenging. And not even to mention: waste of time, funds, and resources!
