I just read through 57 comments and some of your replies.

I share none of these sentiments, and I’ve been absent from writing but not reading.

I have collected dated from June 2022 to present day and quite detailed. Just a few minutes ago I was responding to a comment from Mitch and I’ve been debating if to share some details to help share “numbers” you can each compare to your own.

But I’ll say: I don’t see a remarkable change lately. Earnings still look better than very “old” days.

I don’t see AI boosted, nor do I think it’s going to take over. I don’t hold a magic ball into the future, but if Medium did that: it would kill what’s differentiated it from anything out there.

The boost program will continue to grow as more publications and editors join. Writers need to know their styles and content, find their “home” and be willing to take feedback from editors.

I’d like to encourage you, R C—don’t let the lows bring you down. The waves occur here on Medium.

As for the Medium friend program…
I am a huge Medium fan. I value what each of you write and so I pay more. I do because I’m willing to invest in quality. I choose what I want to read and I don’t let the algorithm define that. There are many ways to find the gems in Medium. I rarely see AI articles.
Just the title alerts me to self help or content that easily can be written by AI.

Hope time will prove Medium is not an AI promoter.
