I had so much fun reading this Rodrigo; I just read JoAnn's article on Trinidad (a place I've known for years, one she's now exploring as a new resident) - she shared fotos about the colors of that are so vibrant to her and her reaction -- and then I opened up your story.

Was fascinating how two writers took two diffent paths beginning from nearly the same observation...

I having grown up in Latin America was always exposed to those colors...but did become more atuned to the colorless neighborhoods of the US --- you allowed me to have a mental journey going back and forth between the two in my mind and appreciating both.
