I could talk to you about this for hours!…I (who was and is like your eldest daughter) had to raise sons who also had friends who sneaked in booze often when I let them have the million and one sleep overs at my home …I understand exactly what you mean by: at least I’m monitoring.

However while I prohibited it and it was stressful—-these teens still snuck it in and brought it—and pot of course.

Lessons were plentiful and I had to help guide and watch over youth who acted, thought and felt differently to who I was as a teen and much less as an adult.

I can simply say this:

You are aware, involved and trying—ALL of that means, you’ll survive it and guide them wisely.
The moms who either pretend it’s not happening or willfully turn their heads away as it’s too great a problem to handle : are the ones who exacerbate it further.

My sons 22 and 21 have shared a lot and enough for me to know: they understand the dangers and what an expensive habit it is.
But believe me: I aged, grayed and weathered in ways parents can never imagine through those teen years.
Your last line made me smile: but I’d say fives times at least…double for the lucky! 😉😂👏🏽👏🏽 you got this Sally!!
I know it’s not easy…hang in there momma!!
