I can't stop reflecting upon your article - I am guilty of filling up my "down time" with "anything" - music, news, reading, dancing, eating, talking, texting, social media, writing -- the question is, do I even let myself be bored?

I was going through my drafts some days ago and came across the one when we lost power for over 12 hours about a year ago

- I was bored out of my mind.

I could not fill it up with anything - as I use technology for everything. Okay not everything...but you get the point.

Needless to say, I stopped and asked myself - why or what are you so uncomfortable about with being bored? What does that say about you?

I used to tell my students that they needed to sit in their discomfort in order for us to have the breakthrough - in order for them to learn.

So I suppose - I am not listening to my own advice...it truly does require effort and trust in the benefit of doing so. I don't mind 20 minutes - but an hour or two...now that's asking a lot! LOL

I'm so interested in your research and what you find. Hope you'll keep us posted and ask away if we can help!

Happy researching and writing! ✌🏽
