I am SO sorry this ruined your whole week; I applaud you for the kindness in not showing names or even the name of the publication, because the words written to you were incredibly insensitive and completely out of place.

Barbara -- you are a professional writer, and every story I've read of yours( and I try to not miss a single one), shares a world to me I am unaware of. I do not ever see your voice as one of seeking attention, empathy or even anger...

You are a master storyteller. Period.

Whatever the readers want to interpret from the given story is up to them -- and to be quite honest with you, I wish I read these stories many many years ago to have learned what you have taught me about parenthood, family, love, etc.

Keep on writing your heart out -- please set that editor and publication aside -- and you do you!!!!
