Hiya DM!! Just read a couple of your stories - and you are fantastic!

Here's what a random study I did and still am checking on it from time to time:

When I've randomly read a story or writer, read, clapped and commented: most ignored me.

Where you are going to gain traction is starting within the circle of people you read and follow: I've likened it to circles inside of a giant venn diagram and when you run into another circle, that common follower is going to introduce you to other readers/writers who also want to grow -- stick to those. Look in the comments of those you follow, and find the writers that you feel drawn to and connect. Those are the places where I see the reciprocal behavior --

When I go just random -- rarely do they ever reciprocate. It's almost like they say, "oh nice -- but yeah, no idea who you are and I don't want to get to know you."

It's been fascinating to study...

I'm like you, if I get a read, clap and comment --- I'm definitely heading over to pass on the kindness.

You will find more like you -- focus on those writers/readers!!

By the way -- thanks for reading this; and it's exactly the time consuming effort of trying to see if we are following each other that I had to give up if understanding but it shouldn't be this way. Most platforms have such an easy way to see: follower/following checks. It's not that complicated.
