I agree - I think that personal touch of what we write will affect the reach...and believe it or not, I'm of the opinion that the last factor you said: time spent - is the one that affects the most for the new writers.

I think time spent in medium diminishes over time - but crucial in perhaps first 3-4 years, if I had to guess??
