Hi Jenn!š¤š¤First and foremost: itās not bad at all!!!! Remember this, some start and make over 100 in first month and triple by second, so would it be correct for me to say: Iām doing poorly in comparison?
Your numbers tells me: youāre growing and youāre improving! (Yes, you AND I both want moreāso we dig deeperā¦but please, sweet Jennāno estĆ”s haciendo mal para nada!!!!!!)
Okayānow to the other:
Go find your 10 best stories; you have the numbers to now analyze your stories. Go look at the comments and people:
Find your fans!
Deepen the relationship with those you enjoy reading and who enjoy yours.
You want to get to a point where you know at least 50 people show up to read. That number may sound lowābut itās not easy to do at all.
Youāve done an amazing job at developing a routine of writing and getting eyeballs.
Now pivot and yes: spend time understand what and who youāre readingā¦and know that engagement is a huge tool for long term results in medium. Thatās my personal philosophyāand if you think about it:
Most of us want to write and feel connected.
Ask yourself this:
Would you stay on medium if you earned $1000 a month but there were zero comment engagements?
I couldnātā¦I thrive on human connection, and we learn from one another.
You made good points about thinking of headlinesāI think we all need to work on that, and our writingā¦
Read from top writers too who donāt necessarily engage with us and notice what and how they write. Ask yourself: why do you think their pieces do well??
Jenn donāt give upā¦but we have to find a consistent system and understand what we do well and what we donāt.
Letās keep chatting and happy to share whatever I learn along the way to help!
Thank you for reading my article!!šā„ļøšš½
