Hi Henery,

I thank you so much for sharing your personal experience with how someone believed your piece to be AI. Unequivocally - I've never felt or thought that about your work, Henery. Your closing lines and your tags to me are a "signature" - it's how I know it's you, and I think it's what makes you unique. I would never take to be AI. In fact, it's creative, I don't see AI doing that.

It is so hard for me to describe in words how I'm learning to get a feel for what is AI...it's how it leaves me "empty" - as if it fed me information or tried to "woo" me and yet I don't how who they are and didn't "feel it." That's a poor way of describing it, but hopefully, gives you an idea of what I meant.

As you, aside from this time my husband played with it when I was writing up my presentation, I've never fed ChatGPT instructions to write something. I've read from other writers so I have an idea of what it does. I believe the more they use it, the better they can craft the instructions to the system so that if churns out better material. If that indeed requires "craft" - they should indicate on their article/essay/art just as they do with images...AI-assisted. I think if we eventually noticed, "Oh, this was nice, and loved it" - great, now we know.

I hope Medium finds a way to make it transparent - but just as we have to learn to find it, they too have the same battle.
