Just spent a few minutes looking over what you shared...here are my .02 - for what it's worth.

I do have one suggestion that I'll share in the end - but let me preface by saying, "please only take whatever is helpful from this and disregard the rest." You may be very happy with the way things are - I only share in case you get anything positive from it.

I've been reading you a lot this month, you're a great writer and very entertaining - however, most of your articles are 1-2 min. The one you shared, Grab-n-go is one minute.

Now what's important that you note is that most people will read faster than the suggested time - so each time someone "reads" your article they are doing it more than likely in less than a minute.

Recall that only membership reads are counted. When you open the details to one of your articles, look to the left-hand side where total membership read time is. That is the magic number to look at.

Further below are your external reads for which none of us get paid.

Let's say we earn $1 a minute -- look at the total earnings for the article and the total member reading time - and that's what you want to assess.

2k reads -- truly means nothing and doesn't provide you information on your earnings. I would like to write about what I've learned but was hoping to get another week or two of data before I do so.

Suggestions -- I looked quickly at 5 articles before writing this comment, and you are not using your referral membership link. (If you need help finding that, let me know and I'll help you).

But that's easy money you are not earning, especially with all the views you're getting. You are one of the gems that don't inundate us with "call to actions" at the bottom - but I would say, at least put your referral link. I just got my first $2 last month just bc someone signed up for medium after reading an article. I didn't do anything special - just had the link at the bottom.

You may know this and chose not to use it - so kindly disregard it if you would rather not.

Last recommendation -- you have to work so much harder than the average writer because you're not accumulating enough time in order for your earnings to be significant.

Try to write 3-5 minute articles and see what difference you begin to see in your earnings. Short form is not easy and you do a marvelous job with your short stories - don't me wrong! Write what suits your passion --

But you are not going to see huge earnings with 1, 2 min articles. Take thousands of views as you are seeing and then the money is negligible.
