The latest is (and take this as hearsay until we get a formal announcement) but that the partner program was hacked and earnings were being taken from writers and while Medium found out who and have stopped—
I suppose they are figuring out how to rectify or not or —
Frankly
I’m confused

Ive done several analysis —and the last 2 weeks are in stark comparison to Aug and sept—that is with a boost or not—both types of articles got a 75% reduction—
It, in my opinion, has nothing to do with less or more engagement —but the payment formula has changed—
What may have happened in my opinion:

Medium did a switch/flip to stop the bleeding…got rid of fake accounts and bots…
And the question now is:

Do you flip back and take it back to the new system? Was there a loop hole that needs to be addressed? Do you recomponerse writers or not—I bet not, since, how do you??—-

Ugh. It feels like a mess and I feel for them if that’s the case

Bottom line—we learn and we move forward.

I’m so hoping we get a formal announcement soon.

But I won’t lie. I was utterly disappointed.
