From the old plus two from last month—so here’s what I did after seeing Michele’s post, I downloaded that chrome extension and it indeed shows what’s curated as it even shows those old ones…I don’t look at it much—as I truly think it’s more a “topic” thing. People take it so personally but I see it as: curation are articles that yes are well written but not too personal and can somehow be viewed and enjoyed by a wider audience. For instance medium never curates anything that is a meta article…no matter how well it does or how popular even within medium it is. I think they distribute to get more eyeballs to bring in more members.

If we think about it—Medium just wants more members.

They need us to write well for a wide audience and if someone on outside sees says something about medium, well medium won’t necessarily attract a viewership like that.

But I don’t think people should take curation as a knock against themselves when it’s not—it’s more a guide to know what people out there may be more interested in??….
