Ellen said it so well...I get the point you're making and it's perfectly valid; never thought about it in the grand context of everything we do.

As much as we have come along the way of progress with just understanding what mental health is, we have a long way to go (remember how they were ostracized from society and deemed shameful)...

I hope over time we can see addiction as you well described and none better than the other or rather some glorified and others shamed,

Many more would seek help I hope earlier, would receive the support - I hope -- given the better context of perspective from all of us,
