David, you know what strikes me? I wonder with the changed time and crime these days—would people give random strangers a chance? A room? Food? A job and time to get on their own too feet? I feel we’ve lost that with this fast paced technological world and so many scams—I get why people don’t trust anyone these days.

But as I read this I felt the huge loss we’ve had in this world. It was so touching that just when you needed it, people saw your character and integrity and lent you a hand.

I hope/wish we see that more often these days.

I have friends and family in Houma, Lake Charles….so much that you described reminds me of them and I smile!
