Coincidentally….several of us were shocked to read the same request on my cousin’s daughter’s wedding invitation…it screamed TACKY:

Oh but get this…it doesn’t end there…a small addendum slip of paper was included with bank account numbers and special account for wiring transfers from those of us outside of the country

I succumbed and sent money…out of politeness to my cousin.

My feathers were flustered…but wanted to pass on kindness.

And months later….still no thank you, to add insult to injury.

And sorry GenXers…but she belongs to your generation and another two other cousins children have done the same with regards to money gifts.
