Beautiful Jocelyn, thanks for taking the time to not only listen but share a thought-provoking reflection on different factors at play here. I value your heart and opinion and hoped many of you would help shed light on anything I could be missing. So thank you for sharing your personal experience with your dad.
I’ve been sitting in thought for these three days having read these comments and the pain has left my heart, and I’m still struggling with understanding what kind of friendship this is …which like so much in life is not a clear answer.
But I can say, I think there is so much anger in her heart because she’s obsessive about her health, to a fault. She has spent more money on not just western medicine but eastern medicine for years trying to be the epitome of health….yet she has consistently struggled with some ailment of any sort as long as I’ve known her. It’s quite clear looking from the outside she’s obsessive about health. She’s somewhat hinted at that…I hoped it would help transform her toward balance, but recently it seems…once again, it’ll just continue to make her more. I think that’s why I reject her claim that she believes this has taught her “what’s important now”….and really—that could be an essay of it own.
Who are we to tell another just exactly which matters of the heart are “most important?”
But mostly—thank YOU—I have to recognize her hurt and anger are speaking. Thanks for reminding me that there is more going on within her.
Your time, concern, sympathy and love are so appreciated. 💗have a beautiful weekend!
