Barbara, as you know, I’ve read each experience each step of the way and I still haven’t read your memoir, which I will one of these days. To have it put together here all in one place stringing together some key events that were transitory periods sheds tremendous light on parenting roles and personal choice: reflection and perseverance…among many other lessons. Thought provoking….

I wonder at times—why you and not you and your sister? And what effect did this have on your sister?…it’s deeply troubling how parents can be likened to brutal slave owners of their own children.

All my love and gratitude to using your writing not just for therapy but for lessons for those who will one day be parents—may it be a strong reminder of the heavy responsibility we hold.

Thanks for trusting us with your memoirs. Glad you’re well and have unleashed your beautiful writing talent. 🩷
