Agreed...and perhaps this is entirely a personal opinion, I find it a thread in misogyny - the "how could we possibly even survive being on our own"...I've felt and experienced this far many times.
I can't tell you the number of looks and questions I've received when I've shared: I've driven from Mexico - across the border and back at least twice now. It's okay if it was a calm question and curiosity - but it's the tone, body language, and look that clearly tells you, they think I've lost my damn mind! (If they only knew - it only fuels me more to prove them wrong! the truth of the matter, I'm smart and mindful of how when, and where..so am I just to not do things bc I'm a woman?! )
